• * The "Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival" (なにわ Yodogawa Fireworks Festival), which welcomes its 36th anniversary this year, is one of Osaka's most representative fireworks festivals. This fireworks festival was first held in 1989 by local volunteers who love Yodogawa. It is now held at the Shinyodogawa River in early August every year and is a traditional summer event in Osaka.
